PAYMENT POLICY
A deposit of half the rental fee is required upon booking to reserve any of our facilities for a function. Three months after the original booking, or three months prior to the date of the function, whichever is earlier, we require the balance of the rental fee together with the signed contract (if the contract has not already been returned). If a function is booked less than three months prior to the date of the function, 100% of the rental fee is required. The contract is issued upon receipt of the initial rental deposit or full rental deposit, whichever is applicable.

Rental fees are refundable if notification is received in writing at least three months prior to the function. A $675.00 cancellation fee will be charged (subject to G.S.T.). If the function is cancelled less than three months prior to the date of the function, all monies received by Casa Loma, including the deposit, will be forfeited.

Any remaining amounts due to Casa Loma must be paid one week prior to the date of the function.

All final payments due to Casa Loma are to be made by certified cheque, money order, cash, or credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Diners Club or American Express).   Functions cannot take place without the final payment, the entire rental fee, and duly signed contract.

MINIMUMS

There is a Liberty Entertainment Group minimum food and beverage requirement based on a number of factors (i.e. time of year, day of week, number of guests, etc.) Please contact the Casa Loma Catering Department for further information.

SOCAN (Society of Composers, Authors and Music Publishers of Canada)

Tariff No. 8 Licence fee

All functions are subject to the SOCAN fee when live and/or taped music is provided. Fee is per event, based on room capacity:

TAXES AND GRATUITIES
All functions are subject to Provincial Sales Tax and Federal Goods and Services Tax.(Contact the Casa Loma Catering Department for more information on allocation of taxes.) Contact Liberty Entertainment Group at (416) 542-3789, Ext. 278 to discuss their gratuities and taxes.

LATE STAY CHARGE
Evening functions may take place between 6:00 p.m. and 12:30 a.m.   All entertainment must be completed by 12:30 a.m. and bars close at 12:30 a.m. sharp. Due to the arrangement with the City Casa Loma Committee and the City of Toronto, the premises must be vacated by 1:00 a.m. or a late-stay charge of $500.00 for each additional fifteen minutes will be incurred.  Service contractor's and caterer's breakdown must be completed by 1:30 a.m., otherwise the late stay charge will be incurred.

LIABILITY
Casa Loma reserves the right to inspect and control all private functions. Liability for damages to the premises will be charged accordingly. Casa Loma cannot assume responsibility for personal property and equipment brought onto the premises.

CONFETTI/CLEAN-UP
We request that all guests refrain from the use of confetti inside the building or on the grounds of Casa Loma. A cleaning charge of $200.00 will apply if confetti is used, or if extra cleaning, beyond the norm, is required by Casa Loma cleaners.

AIR CONDITIONING
We regret that Casa Loma is not air-conditioned, however fans are available.

SECURITY DEPOSIT
As one of Toronto's premier heritage sites, a standard security deposit is required prior to the date of the function. Please contact our catering office for further information.
The security deposit will be applied against any charges arising out of the actual function, such as damages to the premises, late stay fees, and any other unpaid fees. Following the function, all unrelated portions of the security deposit will be returned.

BAR/BAT MITZVAH SECURITY
Additional security is required for Bar/Bat Mitzvahs. Casa Loma will book the seurity required. The additional cost is $150.00 per 35 children.
