A deposit of half the rental rate is required upon booking to reserve any of our facilities for a function. Three months after the original booking, or three months prior to the date of the function, whichever is earlier, we require the balance of the rental rate together with the signed contract (if the contract has not already been returned). If a function is booked less than three months prior to the date of the function, 100% of the rental rate is required. The contract is issued upon receipt of the initial rental deposit or full rental deposit, whichever is applicable.
Rental rates are refundable if notification is received in writing at least three months prior to the function. A cancellation fee will be charged (subject to applicable taxes.). The cancellation fee is 50% of the 1st deposit received by Casa Loma. If the function is cancelled less than three months prior to the date of the function, all monies received by Casa Loma, including the deposit, will be forfeited.

Any remaining amounts due to Casa Loma must be paid one week prior to the date of the function.
All final payments due to Casa Loma are to be made by certified cheque, money order, cash, credit card (Visa, MasterCard or American Express) or debit card. Functions cannot take place without the final payment, the entire rental rate, the security deposit and duly signed contract.
There is a Pegasus Hospitality Group minimum food and beverage requirement based on a number of factors (i.e. time of year, day of week, number of guests, etc...) Contact the Casa Loma Catering Department for further information.

All functions are subject to the SOCAN fee when live and/or taped music is provided.
TAXES AND GRATUITIES
All functions are subject to applicable taxes.(Contact the Casa Loma Catering Department for more information on allocation of taxes.) Contact the exclusive caterer to discuss their gratuities and taxes.
A 15% Landmark Levy, based on food, beverages, and any other catering charges(excluding taxes), will be added to your catering invoice from the exclusive caterer on behalf of Casa Loma. Proceeds from this levy help preserve Casa Loma for future generations, and support its many cultural, community, and heritage programs.
LATE STAY CHARGE
Evening functions may take place between 6:00 p.m. and 12:30 a.m. All entertainment must be completed by 12:30 a.m. and bars close at 12:30 a.m. sharp. Given Casa Loma's residential location and due to the arrangement with the City of Toronto, the premises must be vacated by 1:00 a.m. or a late-stay charge of $500.00 for each additional fifteen minutes will be incurred. Service contractor's and caterer's breakdown must be completed by 1:30 a.m., otherwise the late stay charge will be incurred. All items must be removed from Casa Loma at the conclusion of functions.
Casa Loma reserves the right to inspect and control all private functions. Liability for damages to the premises will be charged accordingly. Casa Loma cannot assume responsibility for personal property and equipment brought onto the premises.
Casa Loma is a historical landmark, and its preservation is in the public interest, therefore the following conditions are reasonable.
We request that all guests refrain from the use of confetti inside the building or on the grounds of Casa Loma. A cleaning charge of $200.00 will apply if confetti is used, or if extra cleaning, beyond the norm, is required by Casa Loma cleaners.
Casa Loma does not permit the use of any open flames (including votive candles and tealights), dry ice, or smoke machines. Casa Loma does not permit the use of aisle runners. Casa Loma is a non-smoking venue. Any decorating or set up requires the final approval of the Casa Loma Catering Department prior to the date of the function.
We regret that Casa Loma is not air-conditioned, however fans are available.
As one of Toronto's premier heritage sites, a standard security deposit is required one month prior to the date of the function. Contact the Casa Loma Catering Department for further information.
The security deposit will be applied against any charges arising out of the actual function, such as damages to the premises, late stay fees, and any other unpaid fees. Following the function, all unretained portions of the security deposit will be returned.
BAR/BAT MITZVAH SECURITY
Additional security is required for Bar/Bat Mitzvahs. Casa Loma will book the security required. The additional cost is $200.00 per 35 children.
