One sight and scent among many

The Casa Loma Rose is featured on the Lower Terrace of Casa Loma - just one of the many spots to enjoy in the gardens. Antique roses abound on and around the arbor in the Secret Garden; the Rhododendron Dell is coloured by azaleas, dogwoods and lilacs; and The Front Courtyard is bedecked by multicolored annuals. In addition to countless annuals and perennials, the gardens include sparkling fountains, unique sculpture, and meandering pathways. The Casa Loma Gardens were designed to reflect the changing seasons of Canada. From May to October, there is always something new to see as the gardens bloom through their natural cycle.

Underdeveloped for many years, the Casa Loma Gardens were renovated by the Garden Club of Toronto in 1986 at a cost of $1.5 million. They are now maintained and funded by the Kiwanis Club of Casa Loma. Proceeds from the operation of Casa Loma support a wide range of the Kiwanis Club's charitable works.

The Casa Loma Gardens are truly a work in progress - with a little help from Mother Nature and some very devoted gardeners. Even if you don't know a rose from a rhododendron, the Casa Loma Gardens offer an experience which can be appreciated by all.
